Privacy Policy

Last updated

This policy explains what we collect when you use amigurumigenerator.com, why, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as the service can run on.

Who is responsible

Amigurumi Generator operates this site and decides how the data described here is used. For any privacy question, write to support@amigurumigenerator.com.

What we collect

Account data. Your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google. This is needed to create and secure your account.

Content you create. The descriptions and photos you submit, and the patterns generated from them. These are stored so you can come back to them.

Billing data. Your plan, credit balance and subscription status. Card details are never sent to us — Polar handles payment and only tells us that a purchase succeeded.

Usage data. Anonymous product analytics — which pages are visited and which features are used — so we can see what to improve. We do not sell this or use it for advertising.

Technical data. Standard server and security logs, including IP address, used to keep the service available and to stop abuse.

Why we are allowed to use it

Account, content and billing data are processed to perform the contract you enter into when you use the service. Security logs and product analytics rest on our legitimate interest in running a service that works and is not abused. Where we rely on consent — such as marketing email — you can withdraw it at any time.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of processors, each for one purpose: Cloudflare hosts the site, the database and the file storage and sends transactional email; OpenAI processes the text and images you submit in order to generate a pattern; Polar handles payments and invoicing; PostHog receives product analytics. We do not sell personal data to anyone.

Uploaded photos

Photos you upload are stored so the resulting pattern stays reproducible, and are sent to the model provider only to generate that pattern. They are not used to train models, are not shown to other users, and you can delete them from your account at any time.

How long we keep it

Account and content data are kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, your patterns and uploads are deleted with it, apart from records we must keep for accounting. Security logs are kept for a short period and then discarded.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or object to processing based on legitimate interest. Most of this is available directly in your account settings; for anything else, email us and we will respond within a month. If you are in the EU or the UK and are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Cookies

We set a cookie to keep you signed in. That is a strictly necessary cookie and the site cannot work without it. Product analytics is configured not to build advertising profiles and does not follow you to other sites.

Where data is processed

The service runs on Cloudflare's global network, so data may be processed outside your country. Transfers rely on the safeguards our processors have in place, including standard contractual clauses where they apply.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will tell you by email or in the application before the change takes effect.
